The superintendent of Richmond Public Schools describes the district's approach to helping schools collect, understand, and use student data to improve instruction. The district meets with school teams to review the data and to monitor the school's progress toward its goals. This sample material, Charting the Course to Academic Excellence, is a template schools can use to record data and to see three-year trends.
