Inspiring Students to Attend College

This overview provides examples of ways schools can foster and grow students' college-going aspirations beginning as early as middle school. Carefully designed mentoring programs connect students with college-educated professionals who can share their college experiences, talk about career planning, assist with the application process, and check on students' academic progress. High school students also need opportunities to interact socially with peers interested in attending college. This can be facilitated through extracurricular activities.
